Antwerp Summer Trip I
One of my favourite things in the world is getting lost in a new city. Discover every corner without a precise direction, check cafes, shops, museums or marvelous buildings. This is exactly what we did in the beginning of the summer when we headed to Antwerp in Belgium. But don’t think we’re crazy, I also love to read information about the city I’m visiting, cool spots and places you can’t miss. It’s just that we also love to follow the breeze and improvise. In this case, if you don’t have time enough to do the whole tour planned, you won’t feel bad about it. You will just enjoy every bit of it.
It was our first time sightseeing the city of art and design, but we had only a short weekend. We took a train Friday after work and arrived just in time for some drinks outside in a nice terrace. Must say the weather was way better than in The Netherlands. All weekend long. Saturday morning started with a visit to The Exotic Market in Theaterplein. Then we walked around the city, found cute little craftsmen streets and visited the information point. After getting some city guides, we sat on a cafe to rest a bit and plan the rest of our trip. The sun was shining, the walk around the harbor was lovely and The Little Paris just something you can’t miss.
